Directions to A.R. Bruhn & Associates

The office of Arnold R Bruhn and Associates is conveniently located in downtown Bethesda, Md in the Topaz Building, which features 24 hour security and free garage parking for clients. The building is situated just two blocks from Metro (the subway) within easy walking distance. Subway riders should exit right after the long escalator ride up from the subway stop, which will take them under Wisconsin Ave into a high rise. Take the escalator up to the ground floor. Walk onto East West Highway and turn right. Proceed two blocks to the Topaz building, which is 4400 East West Highway.

Directions are provided below for those who are commuting from Washington DC, from Rockville, from the Maryland beltway, and from Virginia.

From Washington, DC: (click for map) North on Wisconsin Ave to Montgomery Ave. (which is one way, east) in the heart of downtown Bethesda. Turn right. Proceed about four blocks, ending with an arching left turn onto East West Highway. Turn left, which will take you back again toward the Bethesda business district. Proceed two blocks. The Topaz building will be on your left, a beige colored building, 4400. Parking is underground on the left of the building (the near side to you).

From Rockville, Md or North of Bethesda: (click for map)South on Wisconsin Ave (or Rockville Pike or 355) to the Bethesda business district. As you see the Hyatt Hotel on your right, Montgomery Ave is the immediate left turn. Then follow Washington, DC directions once you turn onto Montgomery Ave. ("Proceed about four blocks...")

From Beltway: Take Wisconsin Ave South exit toward Bethesda. Then follow Rockville, Md directions once you are going south on Wisconsin Ave.

From Virginia: (click for map)Circle the beltway until you see the Wisconsin Ave South exit, which will take you south toward Bethesda. Now follow Rockville, Md. directions.

Directions to Office, once inside Topaz building.

  • Main entrance: proceed past the front desk and go directly down main hall all the way to the end (back) of the building. Just before the 'T' intersection, there is a stairwell. Go down one floor. On the ground floor, there is also a 'T' intersection. Turn left. My office is perhaps 20' down the hallway on the right, #28.

    The waiting room is on the left. Make yourself comfortable. There are reading materials but no secretary. My office is at the very end of the hall, furtherest from the waiting room, on the left. If I am occupied, the sign will say "In Session". If I am not occupied but the door is closed, the sign will say, "Please Knock."



  • Garage entrance: Park in the first 2 columns, which are reserved for visitors. Parking is free while you are in the building. One you have parked, enter the building from the garage through the entrance which is most distant (and roughly opposite) from where you entered the building. You will proceed through a double door to a 'T' intersection. Turn left. My office is down the hall about 20' on the right. Now proceed to the Main Entrance directions above: "The waiting room is...."
Phone: 301-654-2017. There is an answering machine, and I check messages frequently when I am not immediately available. You may leave a secure, private message on the machine, which requires a code to access messages.

Fax: 301-654-4072. The fax machine is on 24 hours a day if you need to transmit materials or leave a message. The machine is located within our office, which is locked when we are not there.
